Today, NSLC Business & Entrepreneurship students had the privilege to hear from Lance Helfert, the Managing Director and Co-Portfolio Manger of West Coast Asset Management.
Lance co-founded WCAM Inc. in 2000 and served as its President for 15 years, during which time its assets under management grew to more than $500 million.
Lance is a co-author of The Entrepreneurial Investor: The Art, Science and Business of Value Investing, a book published by Wiley. He has been featured in Forbes, Barron’s, Fortune Magazine, and the Market Watch for his unique market perspective. In addition, Lance has been a guest commentator on CNBC and the Fox Business networks, and he has been a featured speaker at the Value Investing Congress in New York and Los Angeles.
Lance has also served on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Southern California and the Tri-Counties Make-A-Wish Foundation. He graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and has completed the Value Investing Executive Education Program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.
